TransFloat support

Get back to listening, with a little help along the way.

Microphone and speech permissions

Microphone translation needs microphone access. If iOS asks for speech recognition access, allow it to use that recognition path. If you previously denied access, open iPhone Settings, find TransFloat, and review its permissions. Settings labels can vary by iOS version.

Language resources are not ready

Open the app’s language resource settings and check the source and target languages. Download missing resources with a network connection and sufficient storage. Apple speech and translation support vary; some languages support original transcription only. An installed speech resource does not guarantee that a translation pair is supported.

Cross-app translation has no audio

Confirm Pro is active, start the TransFloat broadcast using the system picker, and play speech in the source app. Some apps and protected content do not expose usable audio. Compatibility can change with the source app, audio route, device, and iOS version. TransFloat cannot guarantee support for every app or call.

Read the cross-app translation guide for the setup sequence and limits.

Picture in Picture subtitles are missing

PiP is a Pro feature. Confirm your translation task is active, start the floating subtitle window from TransFloat, and review your iPhone’s Picture in Picture settings. Check that the task is receiving usable speech; a visible PiP window cannot create subtitles from an unavailable audio source.

Importing audio and exporting subtitles

Audio file translation requires Pro. Import a local audio file that iOS can open, select its spoken language, and allow processing to finish. Open a saved task to export SRT or TXT, choosing original, translated, or bilingual content. Review timestamps and words before using an export elsewhere.

Restore a Pro purchase

Use Restore Purchases in TransFloat’s subscription settings while signed into the Apple Account used for the purchase. Make sure you have a network connection. Restoration depends on the purchase being associated with that account and its current entitlement status.

Manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. See Apple’s subscription cancellation instructions.

History, deletion, and iCloud

Saved tasks and subtitles use local storage by default. Delete a task from translation history to remove its saved records; the app also attempts to remove its imported audio copy. Your original file and exports saved elsewhere remain under your control.

Pro users can enable iCloud sync in Settings. Turning sync off is not a request to erase data already in iCloud. Cloud deletion propagation, Apple backups, and provider retention need separate handling. See the privacy policy and review notes.

Contact the developer

TransFloat is developed by Shanghai Qinfu Information Technology Co., Ltd. (上海秦伏信息科技有限公司), also known as Qinfu Tech, based in Shanghai, China.

Is translation always accurate?

No. Try reducing background noise, keeping the speaker close to the microphone, and using one speaker at a time. Check important details against the original. Feature availability and usage limits are shown in the app; no unlimited-use promise is made here.
