This policy describes the current TransFloat iOS app implementation reviewed for this website. TransFloat is developed by Shanghai Qinfu Information Technology Co., Ltd. (上海秦伏信息科技有限公司), also known as Qinfu Tech, based in Shanghai, China. For privacy questions, email support@qinfu-cloud.cn.
Audio and language processing
TransFloat uses microphone audio, audio made available by the iOS system broadcast, or audio files you choose to import to recognize speech and produce subtitles. The app uses Apple Speech and Translation frameworks. The legacy speech recognition path requests on-device recognition, and Apple supplies language resources for supported languages.
Apple system services, language availability, and supported devices are controlled by Apple. Translation and transcription results can contain mistakes; do not use them as the sole basis for safety-critical, medical, legal, or financial decisions.
Saved tasks, subtitles, and imported files
Task and subtitle records use local SwiftData storage by default. Imported audio is copied into the app’s local Application Support storage for its task. Temporary import staging and cross-app audio chunks are also stored locally while processing.
Deleting a task removes its saved subtitle records and task, then attempts to remove the imported audio copy. Original files outside TransFloat and exported SRT or TXT files are not removed by deleting a task. TransFloat does not operate an app server for these records.
Optional iCloud sync
iCloud sync is off by default and is available when a Pro user enables it. When enabled, task and subtitle records use the user’s private CloudKit database, with a local fallback if cloud initialization fails. Imported audio remains in local app storage; the app does not sync audio files to CloudKit.
Apple controls CloudKit storage, service backups, and deletion propagation. Turning sync off stops new sync activity; it does not itself erase records already stored in iCloud. Manage iCloud data through Apple’s account and device controls. See Apple’s privacy information.
Subscriptions and RevenueCat
TransFloat integrates RevenueCat to load subscription offerings, process purchases, and restore entitlements. The app does not assign a custom user identity; RevenueCat associates purchase and entitlement information with its app-user identifier. The app uses RevenueCat’s alternate API endpoint api.rc-backup.com configured in the reviewed source. Apple processes App Store payments.
RevenueCat’s service terms and privacy policy govern the data it processes. RevenueCat Dashboard integrations are configured outside the iOS source and must be reviewed in the developer account before publishing App Store privacy answers. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and RevenueCat’s Apple privacy guidance.
Diagnostics and network requests
The app writes diagnostic files locally for cross-app audio, including session and task identifiers and source app information. These files are used to troubleshoot the local translation workflow; the reviewed app source contains no TransFloat diagnostic upload service.
The app also checks Apple’s App Store service for version information. Apple handles that request under its own privacy practices.
This website
This static website has no analytics SDK, advertising integration, cookies, or application backend. App Store links expose a local browser event hook for future measurement; the hook does not send data or set cookies. The web server or CDN serving this site can create ordinary HTTP access logs, including IP address, request path, user agent, and timestamp. Those logs are controlled by the deployed Nginx or Cloudflare configuration.
Your controls and requests
You control microphone and speech permissions in iOS, choose whether to start a broadcast, delete saved tasks, and choose whether to enable iCloud sync. Files you export or share are handled by the destination you select. Contact support@qinfu-cloud.cn for privacy questions or requests about TransFloat-controlled data. Requests involving Apple or RevenueCat data are handled by those providers under their own policies.
Changes
We will update this policy when TransFloat’s data handling changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Visit Support for permissions, subscriptions, and troubleshooting.
